My first time REALLY stepping out of my comfort zone, I went to the extreme. I traveled with my sister to live in Kenya, Africa for 3 months! Sometimes I still look back and can’t believe I did that! But I am SO BEYOND glad that I did.
If you are living life in your comfort zone, don’t stay there. I repeat… DO NOT STAY THERE.
It’s not helping anyone and it’s not helping yourself either, and it’s definitely not helping the KINGDOM. You will never regret experiencing something scary but new, but you will always regret not experiencing anything new in your life. I can’t imagine where I would be if I didn’t decide to GO. Yes, I could’ve been living for God in America impacting other people’s lives, but to be doing what God has called me to do and living in my purpose to the full without letting lack of confidence or fear stop me is the best feeling.
Now, because of that one step of faith and pushing myself to do something new and unfamiliar, I am living on a different continent impacting the lives of orphans! It may seem hard at first when facing a huge change that’s full of unknowns, but the hard work needs to be done so that we can TRULY live for God. So God can use is in the best way possible. So HIS will can be done in our lives and in the lives of others through us whether it’s in your hometown or across the world!
“For it is Christ’s love that fuels our passion and motivates us, because we are absolutely convinced that He has given His life for all of us. This means all died with Him, so that those who live should no longer live self-absorbed lives but lives that are poured out for Him-the one who died for us and now lives again.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 TPT
