about the 2014 Elim Fellowship
The theme of this year’s Elim Fellowship Leadership Conference is “Recharge: The Power of the Word. The Power of the Spirit.” Get ready to experience a fresh encounter with God both at the conference and throughout the 2014 year. We believe this year will be a season to personally ‘recharge’ you while we are increasingly empowered to ‘charge’ the challenges we face in fulfilling our calling. Rev. Samuel Rodriguez is the President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, also known as the Hispanic Evangelical Association, the nation’s largest Christian Hispanic organization, which represents over 40,118 Hispanic Evangelical Churches across the U.S. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of some of America’s leading Evangelical organizations such as: Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, National Association of Evangelicals, Empowered21, PCCNA, Liberty Counsel and Christianity Today. Rodriguez is the author of The Lamb’s Agenda and Path of Miracles. He is an Assemblies of God Ordained Minister since the age of 23. Rodriguez serves as Senior Pastor at New Season Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, CA.
Dr. Ron V. Burgio is the President of Elim Fellowship. He is an alumnus of Elim Bible Institute and a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York. He is ordained through Elim Fellowship and has an earned Doctorate of Ministry from the School of Bible Theology in San Jacinto, California. He has been in full time ministry since 1978 and is the senior pastor of Love Joy Gospel Church in Lancaster, New York. He was appointed to the Council of Elders in 1992. Ron and his wife, Judy, have four children.
Chris Ball is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute and is the pastor at Lighthouse Community Fellowship since 1988. In 2006 Chris was appointed General Secretary of EF and in 2007 the COE appointed him as an Elder of the EF. Because of his heart for leadership, Chris has been facilitating conferences for such leaders as John Maxwell, Bill Hybels, and Jack Hayford. Second only to his own church, Chris has a tremendous love for pastors and their ministries and endeavors to be a resource that encourages leaders in the body of Christ to become all they can be in the will of God.
Michael Cavanaugh currently serves as President of Elim Bible Institute and also is the Vice-President of EF. His ministry experience includes founding and serving 20 years as the Senior Pastor at Elim Gospel Church. He is the founder of both Mobilized to Serve, a ministry to single adults, and BASIC, a local church-based ministry to college students. He is the author of The Power and Purpose of Singleness. He is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute, Roberts Wesleyan College (BS) and Bakke Graduate University (MTS). Michael is a motivating speaker known for his clarity, humor, and creative illustrations.
Sylvia Evans loves the Word and brings it alive to all who hear. An in-depth Bible teacher with prophetic anointing, she seeks the Lord for a “word in season” for each occasion as she ministers in churches, conferences, retreats, Bible schools, and leadership seminars throughout the US, Canada, and other nations. The Founder and Director of Creative Word Ministries, she has been taking the “Creative Word” to the world since 1975.
Andrés Spyker and his wife, Kelly, are the are the senior Pastors at Mas Vida Church in Morelia, Mexico; a growing church with campuses reaching surrounding states and a tv program that is reaching countries throughout Latin America. Mas Vida is a contemporary congregation with a strong spirit of worship that is impacting the generations. Andrés communicates in a dynamic way, his messages are practical and clearly reflect his passion for the local church and his intimacy with God.
Wayne Hedlund is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in both Religion/Philosophy and Psychology. He served in various roles for 17 years at Elim Gospel Church in Lima, NY before joining the staff of Elim Fellowship. Mark Scorsone is the Director of Youth Ministries for Elim Fellowship which host Elim Fellowship’s National Youth & Young Adult Conference SATURATE, and the Youth Leader’s Summit. He has been involved in youth ministry since 1988, where he served as Youth Pastor in Michigan, Florida and New York. His passion is to see this Generation have an encounter with Jesus like never before, and to go farther into the things of God. Mark’s travel allows him to connect and build relationship with many youth leaders as he desires to support and network with them in their region as they serve this Generation. Mark has been married to his wife Katie since September 2002. They live in Lima, New York with their 3 miracle boys Kyle, Josiah and Kase.
Letting Go Even When it Hurts
Eileen Stitt and her husband, Curtis, are the founding pastors of Impact Church in Victor NY. Eileen graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Social Work. She is an ordained minister with EF. Curtis and Eileen began their journey into full time ministry and church planting in 1998 as EF missionaries to Niger, West Africa. After Niger, they planted a church with the Assemblies of God in Dayton, PA before moving in 2012 to plant Impact Church in Victor. Curtis and Eileen have four children and have always had a vision to serve God together as a powerful ministry team.
Revitalize Your Faith
Tom Brazell began his association with the EF in 1978. Since then he pioneered and pastored Love Joy Gospel Church in Buffalo, NY and served as a missionary in Zaire from 1985 to 1989. After returning from Africa, he became pastor of Community Gospel Church in Pasadena, MD. Tom filled the position of Director of the World Missions Department of Elim Fellowship from 1996 to 2001 and has returned to fill that role again under its new name of International Ministries. Tom was appointed to the Council of Elders in 1994. He and his wife, Judy, live in Lima.
Caring for Your Missionaries
Carol Ball is ordained with EF and serves as co-pastor of Lighthouse Community Fellowship with her husband, Chris. She has spoken and ministered prophetically in conferences both nationally and internationally. She has been recognized as a great leader of both men and women and a powerful teacher of the Word. Carol has served as the WILLOW Syracuse Area Representative, the Regional Representative for the Central New York region from 1998 to 2013 and has been a member of the lead team for the last twelve years. In 2013 she accepted the position of EF’s Director of Women’s Ministries and currently serves in that role.
Women’s Luncheon Speaker
Joe Jansen pastored at New Life Church in Herkimer, NY for 18 years and he has been affiliated with EF since 1978. He is now the full time Director of US Ministries and was appointed to the Council of Elders in 2010. Because of Joe’s passion for fellow pastors and the local church, he provides guidance, advice and counseling to pastors on strategies for church growth, maintaining a healthy congregation, and personal transformation. Joe received his BA from SUNY Oswego and later went to Elim Bible Institute, where he met his wife, Joann.
How to Navigate Your Church Mission When You’re Up Against the Mega Church Culture
Eric Peoples serves as Senior Associate Pastor at Church of the Living God, overseeing the Missions and Generation ministry for our youth/young adults, Merge Ahead. Pastor Eric is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY and also holds a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Southwestern Christian University. A sought-after conference speaker, consultant, and worship leader, he is also recognized as a father, mentor, and prophetic voice to this generation. With a vision to equip saints for works of service, Pastor Eric is a pioneer in raising leaders, launching people into their God-given assignment, and has led hundreds of people overseas in philanthropic ministry to reach the hurting and disenfranchised.

Robbie Evans together with his wife Pat, has worked under the auspices of Elim Fellowship in southern Mexico for almost 35 years. His ministry has included planting churches, Bible Schools and above all else itinerant ministry in Latin America and Europe. Their ministry is known for its combination of the prophetic and the didactic. He and his wife Pat currently reside in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico.

Meal plans are available for $50.00 (available for pre-registration only). Meals include dinner on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; breakfast and lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.

This year’s luncheon will be at the EBI Tabernacle, and we are blessed to have Carol Ball sharing.
EBI will be hosting an Alumni and Friends luncheon at the EBI Tabernacle.
Meals will be served in the Elim Bible Institute Dining Hall.
A meal plan is available for $50.00 when pre-registering. It includes a total of seven meals: Tuesday dinner, plus three meals each day on Wednesday and Thursday.

Accommodations will not be available on the Elim Bible Institute campus this year. If you would like to stay at a nearby hotel, please contact them directly.

Free of charge, available during General Sessions for children from infant to age 10. If you would like to receive childcare please indicate that when registering for the conference.
Display table space is extremely limited. If you are interested in displaying your ministry or product, email EFConference@elimfellowship.org by February 7th. Requests are subject to approval and are on a first-come first-served basis. There is no charge for Elim Fellowship Credential Holders and Affiliated Ministries. There will be a $100.00 charge for everyone else that is interested in having table.
